1. Acceptance of Local Partner Terms

These Local Partner Terms and Conditions ("Partner Terms") govern your use of the Meezoy platform, operated by Meezoy Ventures Private Limited ("Meezoy"), as a Local Partner (called a "Companion" in earlier versions). By registering as a Local Partner, you agree to these Partner Terms together with our Terms of Service, Code of Conduct, Refund & Cancellation Policy and Privacy Policy, which form part of these Partner Terms. If these Partner Terms and the Terms of Service differ, the Terms of Service apply.

2. Eligibility and Onboarding

To register and maintain an active profile as a Local Partner, you must:

Be at least 18 years of age (or older if required by local law).
Possess the legal right to work as an independent contractor in your jurisdiction.
Pass all identity and background verification checks required by the Company.
Provide accurate, truthful, and non-misleading information in your profile.

3. Independent Contractor Relationship

YOU ACKNOWLEDGE AND AGREE THAT YOU ARE AN INDEPENDENT CONTRACTOR AND NOT AN EMPLOYEE, AGENT, JOINT VENTURER, OR PARTNER OF MEEZOY.

As an Independent Contractor:

You have the sole right to determine when, where, and how often you use the platform.
You are responsible for providing your own equipment, tools, and resources.
You are responsible for all costs and expenses incurred in connection with your services.
You are not entitled to any benefits provided to Meezoy employees (e.g., health insurance, vacation pay, unemployment insurance).
Meezoy does not direct or control your performance of services.

4. Identity and Background Verification

Meezoy uses third-party services to verify your identity and conduct background checks. You authorize Meezoy and its agents to conduct such checks periodically. Meezoy reserves the right to suspend or terminate your account based on the results of any verification check or your failure to provide requested documentation.

When uploading verification documents, you must mask or redact highly sensitive data as required by local regulations (for example, masking the first 8 digits of your Aadhaar card if you are located in India).

For Local Partners in India (DPDP Act Compliance): The verification data (government-issued ID and live selfie) is collected and processed solely for verifying your identity. You have the right to withdraw your consent to this processing or request deletion of these documents. To do so, please contact our Grievance Officer at grievance@meezoy.com. Please note that withdrawing verification consent will result in the immediate suspension or termination of your Local Partner account, as identity verification is an essential requirement to offer experiences on our platform.

4A. Bookings and Meezoy's Role

Both sides agree: the customer chooses you, the activity, the date, the time and the place, and you decide whether to accept. A booking exists only once both of you have agreed, and you are free to decline any request.
Meezoy is a marketplace: the agreement for the experience is directly between you and the customer. Meezoy is not a party to it and does not take part in, supervise or control the experience.
Payments: Meezoy collects payments from customers on your behalf as a limited payment collection agent and pays you your earnings as described in Section 6.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Meezoy is not responsible for the acts, omissions, statements or conduct of any customer, or for any incident, accident, injury, illness, loss, theft or damage before, during or after a booking, including at a venue or while travelling. You take part in every booking voluntarily and at your own risk.

5. Professional Conduct and Safety

Your conduct while providing services via the platform must meet our high standards of professionalism and safety.

Strict Prohibition: Any form of sexual services, physical intimacy for hire, or illegal activities are strictly prohibited. Violation will result in immediate termination and reporting to authorities.
Safety: You are responsible for your own safety. We strongly recommend meeting in public places and utilizing the safety features provided in the app.
Professionalism: You agree to treat all Users with respect and dignity. Harassment, discrimination, or abusive behavior will not be tolerated.
Public places only: meet customers only at the agreed public place, never at a private home, hotel room or any place that is not public.

If you break these rules or our Code of Conduct, Meezoy may cancel the booking and refund the customer in full, and you receive no earnings for that booking. Earnings not yet paid out may be held while we investigate, your account may be suspended or permanently removed, and we may report the matter to the police.

If a customer behaves inappropriately, you may end the booking straight away and leave. Report it in the app or to support@meezoy.com within 24 hours. Where we confirm the customer's misconduct, the customer receives no refund for that booking. If you ever feel unsafe, leave, go somewhere safe and call 112.

6. Earnings, Fees, and Tax Obligations

You set your own price on the platform. Meezoy deducts its commission from your price, and your earnings for each booking are shown in the app. Meezoy may also charge customers its own separate fees, which do not reduce your earnings. Earnings are paid for completed bookings, after deducting any amounts you owe Meezoy, such as Meezoy's share of any cash you collected from a customer.

Tax Responsibility: You are solely responsible for all taxes on your earnings, including income tax and, where applicable, GST. Meezoy may deduct or collect tax at source where the law requires it and will share the relevant statements with you.

7. Insurance and Intellectual Property

You are responsible for maintaining any insurance required by law or as you deem necessary for your business operations as an independent contractor.

Regarding Intellectual Property, you grant Meezoy a license to use your profile name, image, and bio for promotional purposes related to the platform.

8. Non-Solicitation and Platform Integrity

To protect the integrity of the Meezoy platform, you agree not to solicit Customers discovered through the Service for bookings outside of the platform. Circumventing the platform's booking or payment system is a material breach of these Partner Terms.

9. Waiver of Liability and Indemnification

YOU AGREE TO RELEASE MEEZOY FROM ANY AND ALL LIABILITY FOR ANY DAMAGES, LOSSES, OR INJURIES SUSTAINED BY YOU IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF THE PLATFORM OR YOUR INTERACTIONS WITH CUSTOMERS.

You agree to indemnify and hold Meezoy harmless from any claims, losses, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from your bookings, your conduct towards any customer or other person, your violation of these Partner Terms, or your violation of any law or third-party rights. Meezoy's total liability is limited as set out in the Terms of Service.

10. Suspension and Termination

Meezoy may suspend or terminate your access to the platform at any time, with or without cause, and with or without notice. Reasons for termination include, but are not limited to, poor ratings, breach of these Terms, illegal behavior, or platform integrity issues. If your account is suspended or closed, your upcoming bookings may be cancelled and those customers refunded in full. Earnings from completed bookings are paid after deducting any amounts you owe Meezoy, except earnings linked to misconduct, which are forfeited.

11. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Partner Terms are governed by the laws of India. Disputes are resolved as set out in the Terms of Service, through our Grievance Officer first and then by arbitration seated in Hyderabad, Telangana.
