1. Acceptance of Companion Terms
These Companion Terms and Conditions ("Companion Terms") govern your access to and use of the Meezoy platform as a Companion. By registering as a Companion, you agree to be bound by these Companion Terms, the general Terms of Service, and our Privacy Policy.
2. Eligibility and Onboarding
To register and maintain an active profile as a Companion, you must:
- Be at least 18 years of age (or older if required by local law).
- Possess the legal right to work as an independent contractor in your jurisdiction.
- Pass all identity and background verification checks required by the Company.
- Provide accurate, truthful, and non-misleading information in your profile.
3. Independent Contractor Relationship
YOU ACKNOWLEDGE AND AGREE THAT YOU ARE AN INDEPENDENT CONTRACTOR AND NOT AN EMPLOYEE, AGENT, JOINT VENTURER, OR PARTNER OF MEEZOY.
As an Independent Contractor:
- You have the sole right to determine when, where, and how often you use the platform.
- You are responsible for providing your own equipment, tools, and resources.
- You are responsible for all costs and expenses incurred in connection with your services.
- You are not entitled to any benefits provided to Meezoy employees (e.g., health insurance, vacation pay, unemployment insurance).
- Meezoy does not direct or control your performance of services.
4. Identity and Background Verification
Meezoy uses third-party services to verify your identity and conduct background checks. You authorize Meezoy and its agents to conduct such checks periodically. Meezoy reserves the right to suspend or terminate your account based on the results of any verification check or your failure to provide requested documentation.
5. Professional Conduct and Safety
Your conduct while providing services via the platform must meet our high standards of professionalism and safety.
- Strict Prohibition: Any form of sexual services, physical intimacy for hire, or illegal activities are strictly prohibited. Violation will result in immediate termination and reporting to authorities.
- Safety: You are responsible for your own safety. We strongly recommend meeting in public places and utilizing the safety features provided in the app.
- Professionalism: You agree to treat all Users with respect and dignity. Harassment, discrimination, or abusive behavior will not be tolerated.
6. Earnings, Fees, and Tax Obligations
You set your own rates on the platform. Meezoy charges a service fee for the use of the platform, which will be deducted from the gross payment received from the Customer.
Tax Responsibility: You are solely responsible for all tax obligations, including income tax, self-employment tax, and any other applicable taxes arising from your earnings on the platform. Meezoy will issue tax forms (e.g., 1099-K) only as required by law.
7. Insurance and Intellectual Property
You are responsible for maintaining any insurance required by law or as you deem necessary for your business operations as an independent contractor.
Regarding Intellectual Property, you grant Meezoy a license to use your profile name, image, and bio for promotional purposes related to the platform.
8. Non-Solicitation and Platform Integrity
To protect the integrity of the Meezoy platform, you agree not to solicit Customers discovered through the Service for bookings outside of the platform. Circumventing the platform's booking or payment system is a material breach of these Companion Terms.
9. Waiver of Liability and Indemnification
YOU AGREE TO RELEASE MEEZOY FROM ANY AND ALL LIABILITY FOR ANY DAMAGES, LOSSES, OR INJURIES SUSTAINED BY YOU IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF THE PLATFORM OR YOUR INTERACTIONS WITH CUSTOMERS.
You agree to indemnify and hold Meezoy harmless from any claims, losses, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from your performance of services, your violation of these Companion Terms, or your violation of any law or third-party rights.
10. Suspension and Termination
Meezoy may suspend or terminate your access to the platform at any time, with or without cause, and with or without notice. Reasons for termination include, but are not limited to, poor ratings, breach of these Terms, illegal behavior, or platform integrity issues.
11. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Companion Terms are governed by the laws of [Jurisdiction]. Any disputes will be resolved through binding arbitration as outlined in the general Terms of Service.
